Responsibilities

• Operate ground maintenance equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, power tools, irrigation systems, and other landscaping machinery with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, fertilizing, and watering to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and making necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure proper watering schedules
• Conduct athletic field groundskeeping to prepare surfaces for games and events, ensuring safe and playable conditions
• Utilize hand tools for detailed gardening tasks such as planting, weeding, aerating soil, and installing landscape features
• Handle manual lifting of heavy materials like soil bags, mulch, or equipment parts while following proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and safety checks to ensure all tools and machinery are in optimal working condition
• Apply pesticides or herbicides responsibly when necessary for pest control or weed management following all safety protocols

Requirements

• Proven experience in irrigation management, landscape maintenance, or athletic field groundskeeping preferred
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and gardening techniques suitable for diverse outdoor environments
• Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment including power tools, chainsaws, lawnmowers, and irrigation systems safely and effectively
• Familiarity with pesticide management practices and power tool safety standards
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks throughout the workday
• Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles or similar transport equipment preferred
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining landscaped areas efficiently
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
