Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and edging to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently
- Assist with landscape installation projects involving plant identification, soil preparation, and hardscape construction
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Conduct pest management activities following pesticide guidelines while prioritizing safety protocol adherence
- Maintain grounds by performing snow plowing during winter months and seasonal clean-up activities
- Support tree trimming, gardening tasks, and ground repairs to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces
Experience
- Prior outdoor work experience or background in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and troubleshooting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and lawn care techniques
- Knowledge of pesticide management practices and safety procedures for handling chemicals
- Experience operating power tools, hand tools, and grounds maintenance equipment safely
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward maintaining high standards of grounds care
