Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Day Porter to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of common areas, restrooms, lobbies, hallways, and entryways using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a spotless appearance
- Restock supplies including paper products, hand sanitizers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability
- Assist with light custodial tasks like window washing, trash removal, and surface disinfecting to uphold hygiene standards
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, fixtures, or other building systems
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas including walkways and entrances to promote curb appeal and safety
- Collaborate with janitorial and custodial teams to ensure consistent quality in cleaning standards
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment such as buffers and floor scrubbers required
- Experience with floor care procedures including buffing and polishing highly desirable
- Background in facilities maintenance or general upkeep roles is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail combined with a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service
