What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Clerk (Per Diem) position at Green Chimneys?
Human Resources is seeking a per diem Clerk to support the HR Department as needed in person in our Brewster office. This entry level role is an incredible opportunity for anyone entering the field of HR. **The ideal candidate would be willing to work a few hours each day rather than one or two full days, however the schedule is negotiable. Must be able to work weekdays between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with annual camp recruitment process which includes administrative tasks such as filing, copying,
- Data entry into HR databases
- Creating spreadsheets
- Creating and auditing personnel files, checking references
- Running background checks
- Assisting with HR events, and other tasks as assigned
- Fill in for the Receptionist as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or Bachelors degree a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point required.
- Experience using Sage HR Software preferred.
- Experience and interest in Human Resources and experience with data entry required.
Rate of pay for this role is $16.00 per hour and is not benefit eligible. This is a per diem role (as needed) with significantly more hours during the summer.
