Overview
Supports the CEO and Board of Directors by providing high-level support involving the use of discretion, influence and independent judgement to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload. Interacts with corporate partners, other community based organizations, community members, volunteers, staff, funders and prospects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- No less than 2 years high level support with a minimum of 1 year of executive level support experience preferably in a nonprofit setting;
- Special events, corporate giving and major gift experience preferred;
- Demonstrated competencies in relationship development, teambuilding, problem solving, and community and volunteer engagement
- Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, and dependability coupled with customer service mindset;
- Clear, concise writing and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment to accomplish team goals.
- Ability to work with integrity, discretion and a professional approach;
- Strong project management skills with timely and consistent attention to follow-up.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, donor management program, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- A bachelor’s degree or in the process of acquiring from an accredited college or university or the equivalent education experience in management administration, special events or other related experience.
Responsibilities
- Supports CEO by managing calendar, planning meetings and teleconferences, making travel arrangements and assisting with expense report as needed.
- Uses discretion and independent judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information in connection with the CEO’s responsibilities and operations of the Association.
- Represent CEO and the Association at meetings as assigned.
- Research, analyze and prepare reports as assigned.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with Board members and members.
- Maintain accurate Board lists, Committee Board, and communications.
- Schedule and attend Board meetings, take minutes and prepare/send Board packets and other communication as needed.
- Work in concert with the marketing department to ensure the presence of the CEO on social media and printed materials.
- Coordinates outside meeting attendance/social calendar with Director of Development to leverage funding/partnership opportunities.
- Manages, plans and executes Association wide events and Annual Meeting, and works with other Association Leadership to help coordinate Association wide meetings.
- Gathers data, compiles and prepares all national statistical and assigned strategic plan reports as assigned by the CEO.
- Assist Directors with travel booking and reservations.
- Manage external communications-related outside contractors on behalf of the CEO.
- May supervise temporary staff as assigned by CEO.
- Administers and tracks grants assigned by the CEO

Pay: $24.00 - $26.50 per hour
