- Bachelor’s degree in related field, Master’s degree preferred
- 5 years of professional experience in social service and/or non-profit resource development with experience in operational and multi-team staff leadership
- Experience leading teams of 10
- Experience managing grant and organizational budgets of $300,000 or more
- Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for the work of the YMCA, ability to foster great relationships and able to maintain a culture of stewardship excellence
- Exceptional capacity for building and managing inter-departmental relationships; a team builder who has the ability to connect staff both on an individual level and in large groups; capacity to ensure accountability
- A results-proven track record of exceeding goals and evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment
- Provide direction and leadership for all Y Achievers sites across the Greater Philadelphia region and Camden, NJ.
- Design and implement a comprehensive recruitment and retention strategy to drive sustained youth engagement across all locations.
- Cultivate relationships with schools, community organizations, and families to ensure equitable participation and diverse representation.
- Facilitate and model high-quality program sessions, workshops, and special events that build participants’ skills in leadership, communication, financial literacy, and post-secondary readiness.
- Ensure consistent delivery of an evidence-informed curriculum centered on post-secondary education, career exploration, and life skill development.
- Integrate social-emotional learning (SEL) and soft-skill development, including communication, teamwork, and leadership into all program components.
- Lead program design and continuous improvement aligned with youth needs, emerging educational trends, and YMCA strategic priorities.
- Coordinate year-round experiences including mentoring, college and trade exploration trips, speaker series, and capstone showcases that demonstrate measurable student growth.
- Lead, support, and align branch-based Achievers staff to ensure consistent program quality across all YMCA sites.
- Supervise program staff, site coordinators, and facilitators operating in schools and community centers, ensuring excellence in delivery and youth engagement
