Company Description
Nutritional Development Services (NDS) is an agency of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, dedicated to serving children and those in need with food and food-related resources. For over 50 years, NDS has been fulfilling its mission through federally funded Child Nutrition programs and the privately supported Community Food Program. NDS provides healthy meals to children in schools, childcare centers, after-school, and summer programs, promoting physical nourishment. Additionally, the Community Food Program supports families, senior citizens, and others in need through parishes, schools, and community groups.
Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Community Resource Director located in Philadelphia, PA. The Community Resource Director will be responsible to:
- Oversee and manage all community-based anti-hunger food resource programs provided by the agency.
- Identify and develop innovative strategies to address community nutritional needs.
- Serve as an official representative of NDS, promoting its programs and services to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead community engagement initiatives to expand NDS’s presence and impact across the five-county service area.
- Strengthen and maintain strategic relationships to ensure NDS programs are effectively received and supported by partners and participants.
Qualifications
- Must have an Undergraduate degree, Graduate degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required, with the ability to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and email communications effectively.
- Have a minimum of five years’ experience in administration and/or leadership positions.
- Have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for business use.
- Strong understanding of Health and Nutrition preferred.
- The candidate must be a practicing Roman Catholic, committed to living the Catholic faith and upholding the teachings and values of the Church in both personal conduct and professional responsibilities.
