This is more than a front desk position. As one of the first and last people our patients interact with, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and seamless experience while helping support the daily operations of a growing dermatology practice.

Your Impact
As our Receptionist & Patient Coordinator, you will serve as the central point of communication between patients, providers, and staff, ensuring every detail is handled with professionalism, accuracy, and care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering an Exceptional Patient Experience
- Welcome patients with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency
- Create an outstanding check-in and check-out experience
- Answer incoming calls with confidence and professionalism
- Triage patient questions and communicate effectively with providers
- Respond promptly to patient messages and online appointment requests
- Clearly explain office policies, procedures, and treatment workflows
- Ensure patient documentation is complete and accurately entered into the electronic medical record
Scheduling & Electronic Medical Records
- Coordinate provider schedules while optimizing patient flow
- Schedule, confirm, and modify appointments efficiently
- Navigate Epic
- Communicate effectively with pharmacies, referring providers, and patients
Administrative Excellence
- Verify insurance, demographics, and financial information
- Collect and accurately process patient payments
- Obtain referrals and insurance authorizations
- Scan, fax, and manage medical documentation
- Assist with patient estimates for cosmetic and self-pay services
- Support billing coordination and administrative workflow
Supporting Practice Operations
- Maintain a polished, welcoming reception area
- Manage office inventory and coordinate supply orders
- Communicate with pharmaceutical and skincare representatives
- Assist with scheduling logistics and operational projects

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years of customer service experience
- Strong computer proficiency and multitasking abilities
- Must pass background check
Preferred
- Minimum two years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
- Experience with insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations
- Dermatology or specialty practice experience is highly desirable
