Responsibilities
- Supervise students during transitions, breaks, lunch periods, and special events to ensure safety and proper conduct
- Monitor hallways, entrances, exits, and common areas to uphold security protocols and prevent unauthorized access
- Assist with behavior management by addressing minor disruptions and redirecting students as needed
- Support classroom teachers by providing additional supervision during lessons or activities when required
- Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents using first aid skills and follow established safety procedures
- Foster positive interactions with students by promoting respectful behavior and encouraging a welcoming atmosphere
- Collaborate with school staff to implement policies that enhance student safety and promote a productive learning environment
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English & Spanish
- Security Experience, certification
- High School diploma or GED required
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and visitors
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly using first aid knowledge
- Familiarity with special education needs to support diverse student populations
- Classroom experience or teaching background is advantageous for understanding educational environments
- Excellent observational skills to identify safety concerns or behavioral issues promptly
Pay: $21.49 per hour
