What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expanded Function Dental Assistant Program Assistant Instructor (Part-Time) position at Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center?
Interested candidates should be excited to share their knowledge of the functions of an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA). In this part-time position, the individual will demonstrate knowledge of safe work practices in the dental setting and be able to perform and teach the functions of an EFDA. Responsibilities include providing instruction to adult students, assisting in student supervision, ensuring safe operation of equipment. and participation in program evaluation and revision. The schedule of the part-time EFDA program is typically 12 consecutive Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm, although the hours may vary. The position requires a current EFDA license for Pennsylvania and at least 2 years of experience as an EFDA. This is a part-time, as-needed, hourly position. This is a part-time position paying $26.00/hour.
