Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, windows, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Maintain floor care by buffing, polishing, stripping, waxing, and performing industrial cleaning procedures to ensure floors are safe and visually appealing
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and ensuring equipment is in good working order
- Support overall building upkeep by stocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues promptly, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Execute specialized custodial duties like industrial cleaning or residential painting as needed for project or facility requirements
- Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness standards across all areas consistently
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures including buffing and polishing
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety standards
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
