Responsibilities
Welding of steel
Follow all safety protocols including wearing PPE and required PPE at all times. Required PPE is defined as gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe boots Additional PPE, such as hard hats, flame-resistant clothing, hearing protection, face shields, respirators, etc, may be required depending on the specific tasks being performed or the work area.
Duties, responsibilities, and reporting relationships may fluctuate or evolve in light of your skill, experience, and the company’s needs
Qualifications & Experience
The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check is required
1 years of structural steel welding experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Experience in cutting, grinding, or fabricating steel structures
AWS welding certification is a plus
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols
Familiarity with welding equipment, tools, and safety protocols
Exceptional tape measure skills
Diligent with great attention to detail and learns quickly
Safety Oriented and conscious
Must be able to walk, stand, use hands to handle tools, reach with arms, kneel, stoop, crouch, and talk and hear in noisy environments
Must be able to regularly lift and move objects weighing up to 51 lbs independently and occasionally lift and move objects up to 100lbs with the assistance of team lifts.
The work environment is primarily indoors, and will, at times, be exposed to natural weather elements such as heat, cold, sunlight, darkness, wind, rain, lightning, snow, and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Compensation and Benefits
$19.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience
