Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care activities including mowing, edging, trimming, and aerating to keep turf healthy and visually appealing
- Maintain landscape features through planting, pruning, tree trimming, and shrub care using appropriate horticultural techniques
- Operate landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and power tools safely and efficiently
- Conduct irrigation system inspections, repairs, and adjustments to ensure proper watering schedules
- Assist with hardscape projects including the installation or repair of pathways, patios, or retaining walls using hand tools and construction techniques
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access across grounds
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment like excavators or other machinery used in landscape or construction tasks
- Collaborate with team members to execute landscaping projects that enhance the overall appearance of the property
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and hand tools is highly beneficial for efficient task completion
- Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant care, tree health assessment, and soil management is advantageous
- Experience with irrigation systems or snow plowing operations will be considered a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
