Position Summary:
The F&B Manager leads day-to-day operations across assigned outlets—training, mentoring, and staffing a high-performing team while safeguarding Great Maple’s brand standards and California labor-law compliance. Through proactive planning and hands-on floor leadership, the manager coordinates all food and beverage activities to deliver consistently exceptional service for guests, colleagues, and owners alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide floor presence during shift, table touching, greeting and interacting with guests
- Perform daily inspection of restaurant and outlets for readiness according to standards
- Responsibility for all opening/closing procedures of shift, including HotSchedules Shift Log, Daily Log (digital ‘red book’), pre-shift and labor control
- Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service and ambiance
- Supervise and direct service to drive productivity and ensuring each step of service is executed consistently
- Handle guest complaints in the most diplomatic and professional manner
- Complete menu knowledge (breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar)
- Maintaining inventory of equipment, linen and other supplies
- Contribute to the profitability of the restaurant and outlets through cost control effectiveness
- Schedule team members with forecasted business ensuring that staffing is adequate and yet within budgetary goals
- Maintain safety by adhering to stated safety policies and handle guest and employee accidents
- Relay any maintenance needs via the appropriate channels and teams
- Keep storerooms in a state of readiness, cleanliness and tidiness
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members; conducts performance appraisals, take disciplinary action, motivate and train to ensure progressive and ongoing staff education
- Ensure the team members’ uniforms and appearances meet policy standards
- Know and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Flexible to work all shifts, am, pm, weekends and holidays.
- Perform all other duties assigned and/or required by management.
Qualifications:
2–3 years of progressive leadership experience in a high-volume, multi-outlets Hotel
Current California RBS and ServSafe Manager certificates (or within 30 days).
Strong knowledge of food & beverage operations, including service styles, inventory, and POS systems (Aloha).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial reports.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of local health and safety codes and compliance standards.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
APPEARANCE AND GROOMING: Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire when working.
TEAMWORK: All Team Members are required to work as a team to ensure a great guest experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, to handle and feel objects, tools controls and type; talk with and hear guests. The team member is occasionally required to stand and walk. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The specific vision abilities required are close vision.

The team member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend most of their time on station in the assigned restaurant outlet
