Great Escape Early Learning Center is a dedicated early childhood education center committed to nurturing young learners in a positive, loving, and faith-based environment. As an outreach ministry of Littleton United Methodist Church, we serve children from 12 months to 6 years old, providing developmentally appropriate programs that foster social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth.

The instructional coaching position requires a specialist who supports teachers in enhancing teaching practices and improves classroom quality. They use strength based approaches, classroom observation, and modeling to help teachers optimize learning opportunities for children. In collaboration with school leadership, coaches play an important role in fostering an environment of continuous improvement that guides teachers of even the youngest learners.

Position Summary

Our Instructional Coach/Assistant Director is an educational professional who works collaboratively with teachers and school staff to improve instructional practices, enhance student achievement, and foster professional development. The role includes integration of Creative Curriculum provided through Colorado Shines with the centers’ current curriculum.

In addition to coaching duties, this position requires maintenance of staff records and overseeing teacher responsibilities which include but is not limited to lesson plans and weekly family emails.

Key Responsibilities

· Partner with teachers to implement and evaluate effective instructional strategies for all learners.

· Informally observe classroom instruction daily, providing constructive feedback for teacher’s professional growth and student success.

· Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support classroom instruction.

· Develop coaching plans for teachers in need of additional support.

· Serve as a mentor and provide ongoing support and encouragement to new and experienced teachers.

· Work closely with school leadership and instructional teams to promote a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.

· Maintenance of staff records to ensure that certification requirements are fully attained in a timely fashion.

· Additional duties as assigned by the director

· Center closing at the end of the day.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, or equivalent certifications.

· Experience in instructional coaching, mentoring, or teacher leadership roles. One year minimum.

· A minimum of four years of successful classroom teaching experience.

· Thorough knowledge of instructional strategies, curriculum implantation, and educational best practices.

· Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

· Able to lead and mentor staff to use effective communication and to provide resolutions to interpersonal dynamics.

· Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse parties.

· Commitment to ongoing professional development.

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

· Director Qualified for a large early childhood center.

Reporting Structure

Instructional Coaches works collaboratively and reports directly to the center director and board of directors.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
