Business Development Manager – Finance & Accounting
We’re hiring a Finance & Accounting Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and revenue growth. This is a front-line sales role focused on opening doors, winning new business, and building long-term client relationships.
You’ll own the full sales cycle including prospecting, pitching, closing, and expanding accounts while partnering closely with recruiting to deliver on what you sell. This is a high-activity, performance-driven role. If you’ve succeeded in staffing or B2B sales, you’ll know exactly what it takes.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and generate new business through cold calls, email outreach, referrals, and networking
- Build and manage a pipeline; drive opportunities from first conversation through close
- Meet with clients (in-person and virtual) to understand hiring needs and position staffing solutions
- Partner with recruiters to ensure strong delivery and repeat business
- Negotiate terms, close deals, and grow accounts over time
- Stay plugged into the market to identify hiring trends and new opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in B2B sales; staffing or recruiting experience is strongly preferred
- Proven track record of hitting revenue targets not just activity metrics
- Comfortable with cold outreach and direct client engagement
- Strong presence and credibility with clients
- Competitive, self-motivated, and accountable
- Ability to handle rejection, adjust quickly, and keep moving
The Reality
- This is not an account management role. True business development
- Activity level matters: calls, meetings, and consistent pipeline generation
- You’ll have autonomy, but results are the expectation
