Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Breakfast/Lunch Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and demonstrate expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and working as a team. The Breakfast/Lunch Cook will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals that meet our standards for taste and presentation.
The hours are 5:30am - 1:30pm, weekends are required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus involving breakfast and lunch/dinner items.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; assist with ordering as needed.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and cooking appliances.
Experience
- 3 years Previous experience as a Breakfast Cook is required. This will cross into Lunch/Dinner items as well but must have at least 3 years experience as a Breakfast Cook.
- ServeSafe Certified or willingness to become certified preferred.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Experience in menu planning and food preparation for large groups is a plus.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and food safety standards is essential.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency with kitchen equipment are required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
