Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast & Lunch Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be motivated at providing well-prepared, hot meals at a fast pace. Experience in short order breakfast cooking is highly recommended and preferred.
Closed every Monday and major Christian holidays. Typical work schedule would be 8a-4p Tues through Friday, and 8a-2p Saturday and Sundays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Setting up station before opening, including mise en place.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment. Complete daily/weekly/monthly cleaning lists alongside team.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Follow food safety guidelines and sanitation practices to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, grills, fryers, and ovens.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service is necessary.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food industry standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork mentality.
