Principal Software Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams while driving the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise software solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring developers, and influencing the long-term technology strategy within a modern Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across multiple Agile software development teams.
- Design, architect, and develop scalable web applications, APIs, and cloud-enabled solutions.
- Lead the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Drive architectural decisions that improve scalability, performance, resiliency, and maintainability.
- Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Evaluate and implement modern technologies, frameworks, and development tools to improve engineering efficiency.
- Conduct architecture reviews and establish engineering standards and best practices across teams.
- Mentor and coach engineers at all experience levels while fostering technical growth throughout the organization.
- Help guide long-term technology strategy and support the continued evolution of enterprise platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of hands-on full-stack software development experience building enterprise applications.
- Strong experience developing web applications, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
- Expertise with C#, .NET, TypeScript, React, SQL Server, or comparable enterprise technology stacks.
- Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams and delivering large-scale software initiatives.
- Deep understanding of scalable system architecture, high availability, resiliency, and application performance optimization.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, CircleCI, ServiceNow, Datadog, or similar platforms.
- Strong technical leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and developing cloud-native applications, preferably within Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms.
- Expertise in distributed systems, enterprise application architecture, and modern software engineering practices.
- Passion for driving technical innovation, improving engineering processes, and mentoring technical teams.
