Busser Core responsibilities
- Clear dirty dishes, silverware, and glasses from tables, wipe down surfaces, and reset tables with fresh linens, silverware, and condiments.
- Assist servers with tasks like refilling water glasses, delivering food when needed, and communicating guest needs, such as allergies or special requests.
- Keep the dining area clean by sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning spills promptly, and ensuring the overall appearance of the dining room is tidy.
- Replenish service stations and tables with necessary items like napkins, silverware, and condiments.
- Help with setting up the dining room before opening and cleaning it at the end of the night, including tasks like stacking chairs and taking out trash.
Runner Core responsibilities
- Deliver food orders to customers quickly and accurately
- Uphold sanitation and food safety principles
- Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash
- Check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory
- Relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties
- Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food
- Assist setting up tables before service with appropriate utensils, napkins and decorations
- Handle various impromptu requests from customers
Required skills and qualifications
- The ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift and carry items (often up to 25−5025 minus 5025−50 pounds), and perform tasks that involve bending and kneeling.
