AM & PM BAKERY COUNTER ASSOCIATE

Job Summary:
As a Bakery Counter Associate, you will be the face of our bakery, responsible for providing outstanding customer service while assisting guests with their selections of pastries, breads, cakes, and other baked items. You will ensure that our bakery counter is always well-stocked, clean, and inviting while promoting our products and special offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a friendly smile and provide exceptional service.
- Assist customers in selecting and packaging their baked goods.
- Maintain display cases by arranging products attractively and checking for freshness.
- Operate the cash register, handle payments, and process transactions accurately.
- Keep the bakery counter and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Restock shelves and display cases as needed throughout the shift.
- Educate customers about our products, including ingredients and allergens.
- Assist in the preparation and baking process as required during less busy times.
- Support promotional activities and special events by helping to set up displays and sampling products.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including food handling and sanitation protocols.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a bakery, café, or customer service role is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Passion for baking and a genuine interest in food.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable handling food products and working in a kitchen environment.
