Secondary Instructional Coach
AVID Site Coordinator
5/7 Position
A valid Oregon Teaching License is required.
Salary Range: $38,099-$67,261
(Salary based on 2024-2025 salary schedule - 2025-2026 salary schedule to be determined)
Bilingual and bi-literate in Spanish preferred.
Additional days in August at per diem rate of pay.
OVERVIEW:
This educator works with teachers and administrators to implement state standards and to coach classroom teachers in best instructional practices, including AVID strategies. Planning, organizing and leading professional development is expected as part of this assignment. The educator promotes and develops successful learning for students, performs all duties in accordance with District Policies and terms of the teacher contract. The Teacher also maintains a cooperative attitude with staff, parents, and students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 or more years successful teaching experience
- Trained in AVID strategies
- A valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position with appropriate endorsement.
- A valid Oregon Driver’s License.
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- The ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds.
- The ability to work harmoniously with others.
- Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications.
- The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District.
- Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, and district patrons.
