Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2025-2026 school year:

Location: North Middle School

Position: Educational Assistant

Hours: 8 hours per day

Calendar: 183 days per year (August-June)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. Also, one of the following options:
  • Two years of college study.
  • An associate’s or higher degree.
  • A passing score on the District reading, writing, and math assessment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of and experience with computers.
• Knowledge of business English, spelling and mathematics; some knowledge of office practices and procedures; type at a working rate speed.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and ability to get along well with students.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
• Upon selection, employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $70 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.
  • Please note, the ODE fingerprinting fee will increase to $75 beginning 2/1/26.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $16.15-$23.32 per hour - Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
• Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees).
• Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees.
• 6 paid holidays per year.
• 2 personal days per year.
• 10 paid sick leave days per year.
• Bereavement leave, as per bargaining agreement.
• Continuing Education Funds, up to $1,200 per year.
• Up to $1,576 per month district-paid contribution toward full-family medical, dental, and vision insurance.
• $4,402 per year insurance opt-out stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (more than 6-hour employees), $3,961.80 (4–6-hour employees).
• 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System.
• Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($1,000-$1,600).
