Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for Junior Application Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The candidate will play an integral role in delivering outstanding customer service while supporting technical documentation efforts and providing application support to end users. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who communicates effectively, adapts quickly to new technologies, and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
This position will be on-site, and the hours are 8 am to 5 pm EST.

Junior Application Support Specialist

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who communicates effectively, adapts quickly to new technologies, and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- Prepares and edits technical material, including operations and maintenance manuals, software and system documentation, and other technical publications
- Coordinates the efforts of technical artists, illustrators, editors, and writers in preparing documents for internal and external distribution
- Conducts technical research and collaborates with technical professionals to ensure accuracy and clarity of all materials
- Writes manuals and documentation at the user level, technical support level, or both, as required
- Answers phone calls and assists customers in resolving application problems in a timely and professional manner
- Understands and utilizes various custom applications to support customer needs
- Configures and arranges online meetings via MS Teams or Zoom
- Learns new technologies quickly and communicates technical requests as they relate to infrastructure needs
- Works independently with minimal direct supervision from the Program/Project Manager
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the Division Manager
- Maintains a professional, positive, and friendly customer service attitude at all times, upholding the mission of providing Outstanding Customer Service
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science (AA/AS) degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in application support, technical documentation, or a related role
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills; proficiency with MS Teams and/or Zoom preferred
- Must be able to pass a federal government background check (Public Trust Clearance)
- Must live in the United States and be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Experience supporting federal government agencies or government contractor programs
- Familiarity with IT service management processes and ticketing systems
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration platforms
- Knowledge of enterprise applications, infrastructure concepts, and software support best practices
