Grant Gardens Residential Treatment Center is seeking an organized, hands-on, and motivated Service Manager to oversee the daily operations that keep our campus safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for the adolescents and staff we serve.

This leadership position plays a vital role in ensuring our residential treatment center operates efficiently by managing environmental services, maintenance, dietary services, transportation, and facility safety. As the Service Manager, you will supervise multiple departments while creating an environment where staff can succeed and residents can heal.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Maintenance, Housekeeping, Dietary, and Transportation departments while fostering a positive, accountable team culture.
  • Coordinate the daily operations of the physical plant to ensure a safe, clean, functional, and therapeutic environment for residents and staff.
  • Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, and departmental projects.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, evaluate, and develop service department employees through ongoing performance management and mentoring.
  • Ensure all buildings, grounds, equipment, and company vehicles are properly maintained, inspected, and compliant with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee housekeeping operations to maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming residential campus.
  • Manage dietary operations by supporting kitchen staff, monitoring food safety standards, inventory, and meal service quality.
  • Coordinate repairs, renovations, preventative maintenance schedules, and vendor or contractor services as needed.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, inventory, purchasing, and resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records related to inspections, maintenance logs, vehicle documentation, safety compliance, and departmental operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, Joint Commission, state licensing requirements, fire safety regulations, infection prevention standards, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with Residential, Nursing, Clinical, and Executive Leadership to support daily operations and organizational initiatives.
  • Respond to facility emergencies and operational issues with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, safety, and exceptional service throughout the organization.

Skills

  • Proven leadership experience supervising maintenance, housekeeping, dietary, transportation, or facilities teams.
  • Strong knowledge of facility operations, preventive maintenance programs, building systems, and environmental services.
  • Ability to lead multiple departments while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
  • Experience with budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, life safety standards, infection prevention practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or general building maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to identify operational challenges, implement solutions, and drive continuous process improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn maintenance management or work order software.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Commitment to professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service.
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, residential treatment, long-term care, or human services is highly preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while making sound decisions during emergencies or unexpected situations.
