What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tasting Room Associate position at Grand Traverse Distillery?
Job Summary
- Generate sales by introducing and educating customers on available product line.
General Accountabilities
- Greets customers positively and remains attentive at all times
- Focuses on promoting and educating the customer on products
- Pours tastings and gives product information
- Prepares simple cocktails
- Replenishes tasting room products as needed
- Rotates stock and merchandise according to procedures
- Requisitions and stocks liquor, wine, beverages and supplies.
- Maintains the cleanliness, safety and security of the premises according to policy
- *Other duties defined in the employee handbook.

Job Qualifications
- Education: Valid certification for the serving of alcohol preferred
- Experience: A few months to 1 year of experience
- Reliable transportation
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Active listening
- Previous bartending experience helpful but not required
