SUMMARY
The Guest Services Representative role is a critical part of the guest experience at Grand Targhee and serves as the first touch point for guests. This role creates an above-average experience for guests by sharing information and expertise and selling all resort activities, tickets, and passes. This role works closely with other departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience, and that guests have everything required to enjoy the resort. A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct ticket, pass, and activity sales.
- Create reservations for all resort and some offsite activities.
- Checking guests in for their reserved activities.
- Provide customer service and resolve guest concerns.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of resort activities/information and share information to visiting guests.
- Cross sell other resort products.
- Balance POS system.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY
- Protect the safety of self, workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests.
- Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
- Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
- Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort’s Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.
- Operate equipment safely so that it will not lead to injury to yourself or others.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK SCHEDULE
Must commit to 5 days per week, hours of availability must be flexible. Will be required to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts. Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week. This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours. Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school Diploma or GED (General Education Degree). Prior Guest Service experience required. Experience with computers (experience with sales/databases, Word, and Excel preferred).
QUALIFICATIONS

- Must have recent experience with computer usage.
- Excellent customer services skills are required.
- Cash Handling Experience. Prior guest service experience is required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to accurately read and make measurements.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Proficiency in English required. In addition, Spanish proficiency preferred but not required. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Excellent verbal communication skills.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
