What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reservationist position at Grand Island Casino Resort?
A reservationist is the first point of contact for our customers and employees. As a reservationist you are responsible for answering and directing all incoming calls that come into our call center.
Essential Functions:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Provide clear communication and clear directions.
- Transfer guests call to the appropriate area they requested.
- Handle all guest problems and complaints in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.
- Be able to learn the Opera system.
- Assist reservation center in taking, modifying, and canceling guest reservations, noting any special requests.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill special guest request.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Knowledgeable in all casino areas, marketing programs, safety & security.
- Prioritize, organize and follow-up.
- Notify housekeeping and maintenance of any reported problems with rooms and grounds.
- Answer questions regarding local area facilities and points of interest.
- Read and update the Front Desk Communication Log daily.
- Know and follow the hotel emergency procedures.
- Assure an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.
- Support compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory requirements, including those associated with underage and intoxicated guests.
- Support current law and policy to provide a work environment free from illegal and discriminatory behavior.
- Complete job duties with minimal supervision, maintain acceptable attendance, and use appropriate judgment.
- Job duties, tasks, work hours, work requirements, and other duties as assigned may be added or changed at any time.
Required:
- Computer skills required
- Must hold a valid gaming license in accordance with the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission.
- Must complete all company-required training within designated time frames.
