This position performs a variety of entry level, complex clerical and routine technical duties as required to expedite the discovery, assessment, and valuation of real and personal property in Grand County. Additionally, this role will perform customer service support duties to enable and perform functions related to the Utah Department of Motor Vehicle titling and licensing regulations.

This position performs a variety of entry level, complex clerical and routine technical duties as required to expedite the discovery, assessment, and valuation of real and personal property in Grand County. Additionally, this role will perform customer service support duties to enable and perform functions related to the Utah Department of Motor Vehicle titling and licensing regulations.
**Essential Functions: **
- Provide customer service and assist the public regarding vehicle registration and personal property tax information
- Provides clerical assistance to appraisers
- Receives and receipts personal property payments
- Assists public with vehicle registration process
- Proofreads applications, forms, and documents to verify all necessary information and signatures are present
- Performs various, complex title and registration transactions
- Completes the sale of license plates and stickers, and processes titles for a variety of vehicles
- Performs daily functions related to issuing license plates and conducting title transactions
- Processes daily reports
- Sorts and files document reports for the department
- Maintains Assessor's Office inventory and office supplies

- Graduation from high school or equivalent; and
- One (1) years of related experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background examination.
- Must possess valid Driver's License.
- Must complete Utah State Tax Commission courses and successfully complete a comprehensive auditing practicum to become a Designated Personal Property Appraiser and a Licensed Trainee for real property within two (2) years.
