What are the responsibilities and job description for the GSRP Coverage Aide (Ganiard Vowles Pullen) position at Grand Blanc Community Schools?
This position is intended to support coverage for GSRP Lead Teacher and Associate Teacher lunch periods and preparation time.
Candidates for this position require LARA Fingerprints and some additional GSRP training modules.
This position may also include providing supervision coverage or other student supports in the JrK-2 buildings. (Ganiard, Vowles and Pullen)
GSRP / PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM AIDE
Work Year: Student days
Required Qualifications
High School diploma, required
Experience working in a setting dealing directly with young children, required
Background in early childhood education, preferred
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of culturally responsive practices and commitment to an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare meals and clean up after children
Work in classroom with 4 and 5 year old children
Provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment in order to meet the children's physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs.
Assist in implementation of the daily program.
Organize materials needed for classroom projects.
Relieve staff during the lunch period.
Interact, initiate and encourage students to participate in activities.
Any other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or building principal.
Starting wage $16.38 per hour.
6-8 hours per day.
