We are seeking reliable and engaging Part-Time Event Studio Assistants to support events at our Syosset art studio. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, being creative, and helping create a fun, welcoming environment for guests.
This position is ongoing (not seasonal) and is a great fit for those looking for consistent weekend work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with setup and breakdown of events
- Greet and check in guests upon arrival
- Help guide and support children during art-based activities
- Create a positive, energetic atmosphere during events
- Ensure events run smoothly and on schedule
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children preferred (e.g., camp counselor, education, childcare, or similar roles)
- Creative, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with groups
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, patient, and able to take initiative
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
Schedule:
- Part-time hours based on event bookings
- Weekend availability is required
- Additional weekday hours may be available
