Studio Art Teacher - Part Time

$25–$40 per hour

At One River School, we believe children are capable of real artistic thinking. We’re looking for practicing artists and passionate educators who want to introduce young creators (Grades 6-12) to contemporary art in ways that feel exciting, meaningful, and wildly engaging.

Lead dynamic, hands-on weekly art classes for students (Weekday Afternoons and Evenings, Saturdays and Sundays)
Explore contemporary approaches across painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, mixed media, and 3D work
Encourage experimentation, creative risk-taking, and big imaginative thinking
Create “WOW moments” that build confidence and artistic voice
Connect thoughtfully with families about student growth and creative breakthroughs

This isn’t craft-time. It’s real art—made accessible, joyful, and inspiring.

Studio Energy
Teach in a beautiful, contemporary space with an in-house gallery showcasing student work and emerging artists.

Flexible Schedule for Creative Lives
Evenings and weekends (Saturday/Sunday). Later start times leave your mornings open for studio practice or other creative pursuits.

A practicing or highly engaged artist with at least 1 year of teaching experience
Confident working across multiple mediums

Education:
BFA or BS in Art Education required
MFA or Master’s in Art Education is a plus
