Job Description:
We are seeking a well-organized and energetic Part-Time Office Assistant to support a busy art and event studio company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and communicating with customers throughout the day.
The ideal candidate is professional, friendly, and comfortable managing both phone and email communication while maintaining a high level of customer service.
This position is split between locations, with Monday and Tuesday shifts based in our Central Islip office, and weekend shifts based in our Syosset studio, where you will be actively supporting events in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer emails
- Assist customers with inquiries and bookings
- Coordinate and manage upcoming events and parties
- Support scheduling and organization of studio events
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior office or administrative experience required
- Experience handling customer service over the phone required
- Comfortable managing a high volume of phone calls and emails
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working on Mac systems
- Friendly, professional, and able to communicate clearly
Schedule:
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Syosset)
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Syosset)
- Monday: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Central Islip)
- Tuesday: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Central Islip)
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
