To meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the residents based on the plan of care and instruction of staff and/or nurse.

• Report at start of shift with pocket care plans/worksheet to receive shift report.
• Prioritize care with coworkers in assigned unit based on resident needs.
• Regular attendance is an essential function.
• Assist residents with the activities of daily living including but not limited to bathing, dressing, mouth care, toileting and transfers. Responsible for appropriate documentation of activities.
• Operating mechanical lifts to ensure the safety and comfort of residents while minimizing the risk of injury to nursing staff.
• Inform the nurse of any findings or observations while caring for resident i.e., skin tears, bruises, accidents, incidents, and change in status.
• Ensure competency by completing the state mandated 12 hours of inservices yearly.
• Awareness of safety hazards by maintaining a clean, neat and clutter free environment.
• Maintain friendly, professional attitude with residents, visitors and staff.
• Attend Resident Care Conference for unit.
• Assist with vital signs.
Required:

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to provide compassionate, resident-centered care.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred:

Previous experience in a senior living, long-term care, or healthcare setting.

Experience caring for older adults.

Experience with electronic health records.

Part-Time:

2 Days Per Pay

Available shifts may include:

Day (7a–3p)

Evening (3p–11p)

Night (11p–7a)

Weekend and holiday rotation required.
