What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Refrigerated Route Delivery Driver position at Grab it & go Grinders?
Fremont, Michigan $17/hour during training · $18/hour after training · W-2 employment
We deliver fresh refrigerated sandwiches to convenience stores, hospitals, and vending accounts. For the first time in several years, we’re actively pursuing new accounts and looking for a dependable driver who wants to grow with us.
Safe driving and reliability matter most. We can teach the delivery process. Deliveries continue through rain, snow, ice, and Michigan winter weather. You must be comfortable with winter roads, highways, and city traffic and consistently follow through on accepted shifts. We expect patient, safe driving—not rushing.
Training and schedule
- Approximately three weeks of paid training, Monday, Thursday, and Friday, starting promptly at 7 a.m. Finish times vary and may run until 5 p.m.
- After training, work initially begins as fill-in coverage with no guaranteed weekly hours.
- A dependable, customer-focused driver has a real opportunity for regular part-time routes—two to three eight-hour days weekly, potentially reaching 25–30 hours, depending on business needs.
- Independent start times have flexibility, typically 8 a.m. or later, provided all deliveries are completed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Regular route days may be flexible when first arranged, but must stay consistent once agreed upon.
Opportunity to build your own route
Want more hours? You’re welcome to make brief, paid prospecting stops along your delivery route, provided scheduled deliveries stay on track. New accounts added to your route can increase your regular paid hours and potentially build toward full-time route work.
Prospecting is entirely optional. Additional hours and full-time work are not guaranteed.
