Part-Time Delivery Driver

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–4:00 PM. NO NIGHTS! NO WEEKENDS! 
Hours: Approximately 25-27 hours per week; additional hours may be available based on business needs

About the Position

Valley Truck Parts is looking for a dependable Part-Time Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for safely transporting and delivering heavy-duty truck parts and materials to customers and business locations while providing friendly, professional customer service.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule and who enjoys being on the road while also helping out around the branch when deliveries are complete.

What You'll Do

• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy-duty truck parts and materials.
• Deliver parts and materials to customers and business locations accurately and on time.
• Verify delivery information and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Provide professional and friendly customer service at delivery locations.
• Safely operate and maintain the delivery vehicle.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Document fuel usage, vehicle issues, and maintenance as required.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws and company safety procedures.
• Use maps, GPS, and other navigation tools to efficiently plan and complete deliveries.
• Use good judgment when driving in changing traffic, road, and weather conditions.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including the use of carts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.

Additional Responsibilities

When not making deliveries, this position will assist with general branch and warehouse activities, which may include:

• Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Organizing and maintaining warehouse and branch areas.
• Cleaning and maintaining delivery vehicles.
• Assisting the dispatch team with organization and general tasks.
• Helping with other warehouse or office duties as needed.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Previous delivery, driving, warehouse, or customer service experience is a plus.
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable lifting and moving heavy parts and materials.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries throughout the day.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make safe decisions in changing traffic and weather conditions.
• Comfortable using GPS, navigation apps, or maps.
• Team-oriented and willing to assist with other branch responsibilities when needed.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to safely perform delivery and warehouse-related activities, including:

• Frequently lifting and carrying parts and materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
• Loading and unloading parts from delivery vehicles.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching while loading and unloading.
• Pushing and pulling carts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Repeatedly getting in and out of a delivery vehicle.
• Securing parts and materials for safe transportation.
• Working outdoors and being exposed to varying weather conditions.

Working Conditions

• Combination of driving, outdoor delivery, and branch/warehouse work.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Work may involve heavy or bulky truck parts and materials.
• Safety procedures and proper material-handling techniques must be followed at all times.

Travel

Local travel is required as part of the delivery responsibilities.
