Duties

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to ensure food safety and efficiency
• Assist with menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
• Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and timely service
• Ensure all dishes are cooked to perfection, paying attention to presentation and quality
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining consistency

Requirements

• Prior experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
• Proven kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting
• Strong food preparation, cooking, and food handling skills, including knife proficiency
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in sanitation
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and serving is a plus

Pay: $23.08 - $27.80 per hour
