GPR Ventures is a Silicon Valley-based real estate private equity firm with offices in Mountain View, Sacramento, San Jose, and Salt Lake City. You are applying to work at the Mountain View office.
Since the firm's founding in 2011, GPR Ventures has managed nearly 3,000,000 square feet of commercial and residential assets. Based on decades of experience between the founders, GPR Ventures is able to pursue a wide variety of real estate assets across a multitude of markets in California, Nevada, Utah, Washington, Idaho, and Texas.
GPR Ventures is currently seeking a senior accountant for projects across the Western United States. The senior accountant is responsible for all aspects of accounting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting within the Real Estate Industry.
Responsibilities -
- Create, examine, interpret and analyze complex real estate accounting records for multiple legal entities
- Manage the A/P process including correct cost classifications and entering of invoices into the accounting system, verifying and ensuring accuracy of data and corresponding backup
- Analyze and prepare balance sheets and income statements for various properties
- Reconcile balance sheet general ledger balances including intercompany accounts and book appropriate journal entries
- Prepare year-end packages for tax preparer
- Ensure that all purchase and rehab loans are managed and that interest payments on loans are made in a timely fashion
- Perform lender draw requests for construction projects and work with project managers on tracking costs
- Serve as a trusted information resource and liaison to asset management, investment partners, and acquisitions team
- Responsible for cash management maintenance and reporting, banking relationship
- Manage rental income and related accounts receivable
- Work on capital calls, make equity and preferred interest distributions, and provide periodic reporting to investors
- Perform operating expense management
- Prepare project forecasts and cash flow analyses
- Perform ad-hoc analysis of project costs by category, profitability, investor returns
Qualifications -
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business, CPA strongly preferred
- Five to seven years of related experience preferred
- Experience in commercial/retail/office real estate preferred
- Good knowledge of general ledger, job costing, and preparing internal financial reporting
- Knowledge of all aspects of AP/AR Proficiency with Quick Books and Excel expertise
