We are currently seeking an experienced Detailing Manager with a strong background in structural steel and miscellaneous metals detailing. This role is fully remote, with occasional travel to the office required on a quarterly basis for meetings.
The Detailer Manager will oversee the detailing department, manage projects and personnel, and produce high-quality fabrication drawings for structural steel components based on architectural and structural design plans. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on detailing expertise along with proven leadership experience and advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the detailing team, including workload planning, scheduling, and quality control
- Produce, review, and approve detailed fabrication and erection drawings for structural steel and miscellaneous metals
- Interpret architectural and structural design documents and ensure accurate execution
- Ensure compliance with AISC steel construction standards and detailing guidelines
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to resolve design and constructability issues
- Mentor and develop detailers, providing technical guidance and leadership
- Maintain detailing standards, processes, and best practices across projects
- 5 years of structural steel detailing experience
- 2 years of detailing management or leadership experience
- Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures (required)
- Strong working knowledge of AISC steel construction detailing design standards and guidelines
- Experience with 2D and 3D modeling and detailing workflows
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Excel, email, internet applications, PDF and image management software
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhinoceros 3D, or similar software is a plus
- Fully remote position
- Quarterly travel to the office required for meetings

Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
