Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle project accounting for multiple construction projects
- Track and analyze job costs, budgets, and financial performance
- Ensure accurate cost allocation and maintain compliance with GAAP standards
- Collaborate with project managers to support financial decision-making
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Maintain project-related records and ensure data integrity within accounting systems
- Minimum 5 years of project accounting experience within the construction industry (required)
- Prior experience working as an Accountant for a construction company (required)
- Strong knowledge of job costing and construction accounting principles (GAAP required)
- Experience in heavy civil, highway, or concrete construction is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience with Sage 300 CRE or Viewpoint Vista is a plus
- Detail-oriented and highly organized professional
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Effective communicator who can work cross-functionally with operations teams
