Project Accountant - Construction

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join a well-established and growing construction company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in construction accounting and job costing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle project accounting for multiple construction projects
• Track and analyze job costs, budgets, and financial performance
• Ensure accurate cost allocation and maintain compliance with GAAP standards
• Collaborate with project managers to support financial decision-making
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Maintain project-related records and ensure data integrity within accounting systems
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project accounting experience within the construction industry (required)
• Prior experience working as an Accountant for a construction company (required)
• Strong knowledge of job costing and construction accounting principles (GAAP required)
• Experience in heavy civil, highway, or concrete construction is highly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Experience with Sage 300 CRE or Viewpoint Vista is a plus
