What You'll Do
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining centers to maximize machine utilization.
- Read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment to produce high-quality parts.
- Identify and resolve machining, tooling, and quality issues while minimizing downtime.
- Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine setups to support efficient production.
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and help implement standardized, repeatable processes.
- Train and mentor machine operators on setup changes, best practices, and production improvements.
- Complete production documentation and maintain a safe, organized work area.
- Two or more years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical training in CNC machining or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand machining specifications.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, offsets, and machine adjustments.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with GD&T is a plus.
