Gpac is working with a growing well-established family-owned food manufacturer that is seeking both 1st Shift Packaging Specialist for their facility in the Greater Boston area.
The Packaging Specialist is responsible for accurate, safe, and efficiently packaging products according to production schedules and customer requirements.

The Packaging Specialist is responsible for accurate, safe, and efficiently packaging products according to production schedules and customer requirements.
Responsbilities
- Follow the production schedule to anticipate upcoming products and ensure all materials-including correct labels, packaging supplies, and equipment-are picked, staged, and prepared in advance to meet customer specifications.
- Coordinate with and provide training to employees on proper packing processes and machinery operation, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Create pallet tags for finished pallets, ensuring proper and correct labeling and customer compliance.
- Transport finished pallets to coolers and freezers, and fill out Pick Tickets accurately.
- Complete and maintain Label Verification Forms to ensure accuracy and compliance with production standards.
- Knowledge of all food safety policies and ability to perform all tasks in efficient manner while maintaining proper food handling practices.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Certification to operate pallet jack
- Experience in food manufacturing or packaging preferred
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods
