Position: Lumber / Building Materials Trader
- Location: Fully Remote (Hybrid optional near company offices)
- Type: Full-Time, 100% Commission (Draw options available)
- Travel: Optional international supplier visits and trade events
- Openings: 5 (growth positions, not replacements)
- Trade, source, and sell a wide range of specialty building materials, including:
- Millwork (doors, moldings, trim)
- Engineered wood products (LVL, PSL, etc.)
- Specialty lumber and panel products
- Interior and exterior finish materials
- Other niche categories (roofing, decking, architectural products) based on your expertise
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, retailers, and manufacturers
- Negotiate pricing, secure orders, and oversee logistics (imports, customs, shipping coordination)
- Identify and develop new product verticals to expand the company's market presence
- Operate independently while representing the company's values of honesty and professionalism
- Leverage your network to bring new customers and revenue streams
- Experienced Traders or Sales Professionals in building materials or closely related industries (lumber, millwork, paneling, specialty products)
- Established customer base or strong supplier network preferred
- Entrepreneurial and independent - thrives in a remote, self-managed environment
- Strong reputation within the building materials supply chain
- Familiarity with global sourcing and importing, including supplier negotiations and logistics management
- Sales or business development track record in expanding product lines or territories
- Nearly 50 years of success in global building materials distribution
