We are seeking a motivated and experienced General Liability Attorney to join our expanding practice in the Providence, RI area. Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of general liability matters from inception through resolution.
- Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
- Develop case strategies and provide practical legal advice to clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues, clients, experts, and insurance carriers to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Negotiate settlements and evaluate litigation risk.
- Maintain compliance with court deadlines and client reporting requirements.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Rhode Island (Massachusetts admission is a plus).
- 3-10 years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability, insurance defense, premises liability, construction litigation, or personal injury defense.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Experience handling depositions, court appearances, and motion practice.
- Trial experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to independently manage cases while working effectively as part of a team.
