Key Responsibilities
- Manage general liability matters throughout the state of Alabama
- Independently handle a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Conduct and defend depositions, including plaintiff and expert depositions
- Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial
- Draft, review, and analyze discovery requests and responses
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related filings
- Handle court filings and service of documents, including e-filing
- Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely billing records
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve client objectives
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in one or more of the following areas:
- General liability
- Product liability
- Premises liability
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active admission to practice in Alabama
- Demonstrated experience with motion practice and depositions
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
