The ideal candidate has deep PEMB industry experience and is highly proficient with Metal Building Software (MBS).
Responsibilities
- Perform structural design and analysis for PEMB and steel building systems
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Design PEMB components including frames, bracing, secondary members, and connections
- Utilize Metal Building Software (MBS) for structural design and optimization
- Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements
- Coordinate with detailing, fabrication, and project management teams
- Review and respond to RFIs and design-related questions
- Support project execution through construction and fabrication phases
- 10 years of experience in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) industry
- Strong proficiency with Metal Building Software (MBS)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required in Louisiana
- Extensive knowledge of structural steel and PEMB systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills
