Primary Responsibilities Of The Commercial Roofing Estimator
- Prepare accurate and thorough job estimates.
- Assess project labor, material, and time requirements by reviewing proposals, blueprints, written specifications, and related documents.
- Perform blueprint reviews and take-offs.
- Solicit bids from subcontractors.
- Collect subcontractor pricing and conduct scope reviews.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids against bid documents and plans to ensure all aspects of the project are covered.
- Calculate costs for subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
- Work closely with clients to help them meet project budget goals by evaluating plan details, suggesting alternative materials/finishes, and proposing different building methods.
- Produce profit and loss (P&L) reports.
- At least 2 years of experience in Commercial Roofing Estimation.
- Proficiency in EDGE or similar estimating software.
- Solid understanding of commercial roofing documentation.
- General contracting knowledge.
- Ability to write and review contracts.
- Familiarity with various roofing systems, materials, construction processes, and theories.
- Capable of identifying, correcting, and reporting unsafe conditions in line with company policies and OSHA standards.

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
