We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with strong setup and operating experience to support high-speed milling of aluminum components
in a fast-paced, precision manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining close tolerances while maximizing machine utilization,
quality, and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting on vertical machining centers.
- Optimize cycle times and maintain maximum spindle up time.
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings to produce precision components.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators)
- Manage tooling, offsets, tool life, and fixture adjustments.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, programmers, and quality teams to resolve machining issues.
- Support new job setups, engineering changes, and production deadlines.
- Maintain accurate setup sheets, inspection records, and change documentation.
- Train CNC loaders and team members on updated processes and best practices
- 2 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical degree in CNC Precision Machining or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong understanding of high-speed aluminum milling
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, boring bars, and fixturing
