Responsibilities
- Defend civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Handle cases involving liability defense, insurance defense, and general civil litigation
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery; conduct depositions and manage case strategy
- Evaluate liability exposure and assist in developing defense strategies
- Collaborate with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel to resolve claims efficiently
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Virginia State Bar
- 2-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with exposure to liability and/or insurance defense preferred
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
