About The Role
As part of the firm's Labor & Employment group, you will:
- Represent employers in individual, class, and collective action litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, and breach of employment contracts.
- Handle litigation in state and federal courts as well as before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, and NLRB.
- Assist with employment counseling, including drafting employee handbooks, developing personnel policies, and providing day-to-day compliance advice on issues such as FMLA, ADA, and wage/hour regulations.
- Conduct internal workplace investigations, deliver compliance training, and participate in labor relations work such as union avoidance and grievance handling.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements, and prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
- JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing (California)
- Minimum of 1-15 years of experience in any litigation practice
- Experience with wage and hour class actions, FLSA and state law claims, and employment counseling.
- Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, client-focused team.
